Animal Day Celebration & Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi

20.00 25.00

Monday September 30 Rosh Hashanah / 9 am – 12 pm (ages 6 – 8)  Instructor: Celeste Paulick

Celebrate Animal Day, an international movement (to take place on October 4th) originated in 1925 to coincide with the feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. World Animal Day is meant "to raise the status of animals in order to improve welfare standards around the globe.” Celebrate and unite to make the world a better place for all animals.  You will draw and bejewel your favorite animal using gems, glitter, paint and more. Feel free to bring photos of your family pets to work with in order to commemorate and honor them on Animal Day, with a dazzling inspired mixed media work of art.

Parents are invited to bring a vegan snack to share with the group! (please label any food with nuts).
