Imagine a place where you could pick from dozens of academic arts & STEAM opportunities, unlimited resources, masterful and versatile Artist Teachers, equipped with galleries, a workshop, and all at an affordable price. We work with teachers and leaders to find the activities that are right for your group. You can visit us at our amazing venue, or we can send Artist Teachers to your door. Take a look at the many things we have to offer. We have the ability to create 1 day visits to multiple-day, or multiple week residencies. We have special rates for schools with 100% free lunch. Field trips
Bring your group or classroom to the Irma Freeman Center. Field Trips typically run an hour and a half. We break up into 3 groups with one group looking and talking about the art work, one group doing an activity (like screen printing or miniature making) and a third group doing yoga or another activity, then rotate. This may be altered and catered to the specific needs of your group!
workshops
We offer an endless array of resources and workshops at our galleries and studio workshop (stocked with organized recycled materials and art supplies). Our specialty teachers are masters in their fields. We offer unique and outstanding workshops for children and adults. Recent workshops include: Action Calligraphy, Acro Yoga, Acro Dance, Mixed Media and Play back Theater Improv.
Artist Residencies
Want an artist to come to your space or classroom? We have affordable professional Artist Teachers: “have talent, and travel”. Our rates for off-site special projects are affordable. We also have funding for schools who cannot afford our resources. Academic standards vary with each project. Let us know what you need and we can tailor make your project!
