The Irma Freeman Center for Imagination (IFCI) presents the book release of Pittsburgh’s Avant-Garde: 60 Years Inside the Underground Art Scene, compiled and edited by Sheila Ali. The event will take place Saturday August 2nd, 7-10 pm. It will feature the long-awaited book release, as well as an artists’ signing, and a celebration pop-up dance party with local cow punk band ATS. You’re invited: dress avant-garde, dance, enjoy specialty drinks and make a fancy bookmark! This book launch will kick off a mini Pittsburgh book tour. See attached list for full schedule of events.
